Our 2 day RoSPA Assured Small Plant & Power Tool Safety Train the Trainer course enables you to become an instructor delivering effective Small Plant & Power Tool safety training and tool box talks to employees, in relation to the

Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998).

Please note - The training is not based on a practical demonstration of how to use the tool, it is based on training the trainer how to create a safe system of work/ method statement for the tools they are using. Therefore, it can cover all the tools they use, as it is theory.

If the trainer would like to bring a sample of the tools they use to the training, that can be useful. It is also helpful if we can have a list of the tools your team use, prior to attending.

There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training.

Course Aim:

To enable the candidate to carry out their own courses to train operatives in safe use of small plant and power tools.

Certification:

The attendee will receive RoSPA Assured National Training Services Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. After which a 1 day Refresher Course is recommended.

Location:

Our open courses are held at our training centre Unit 1, Adams House, Northampton Science Park, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6LG.

We can also bring our training to you for groups, Nationwide. Contact us for a free of charge quotation.

Assessment Criteria

There is a short question paper and the trainees will be assessed throughout the course. The training involves candidate participation. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed. Any problems with the aforementioned assessment criteria, please discuss this with us.
