When you attend our 2 days Fire Safety Marshal/Warden Trainer’s course you will become an instructor and be able to train employees to become effective fire wardens or marshals. The course also enables you to carry out training in basic fire safety awareness and you will receive some experience of fire fighting.
This Fire Marshal/Warden Trainer course is suitable to train people in industries such as, but not limited to:
•Logisitics or warehousing
•Oil and Gas industries
•Education and training
To enable the participants to carry out their own training for Fire Marshal and Fire Warden duties effectively in accordance with the relevant regulations and organisational procedures.

By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of:
• Thorough awareness of organisational fire procedures
• Daily checks and preventative measures
• Duties of a Fire Marshal including:
- Fire alarms
- Evacuation procedures
- Accounting for personnel
- Liason with fire brigade
- Fire drills
- Re-entry to building
- Special Duties – Disabled, visitors, contractors.
• Knowledge and use of relevant fire fighting equipment
• The delivery of the lesson plan.

There is a written question paper and the trainees will be assessed on the practical element.
The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training. There is practical use of fire fighting equipment at a basic level.
The participants will apply the training during the course.
The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid course interview and a post-course professional discussion to fulfill the requirements of the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement criteria.
