Our 2 days Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course enables you to become an instructor delivering effective Abrasive Wheel Training to operatives in various industries.

There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training. 

This course embraces the requirements under The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) and HASWA 1974. Covering selection, mounting and the safe working practices when using abrasive wheels. The machines we discuss are the angle grinder, chop saw, petrol cutter (Stihl Saw) and bench grinders. With an industry experience of 20 plus years our training is developed to be interactive and informative.

Course Detail

Course Aim:

To enable candidates to carry out their own courses, training operatives in safe selection, mounting and working practices when using abrasive wheels, in accordance with the relevant regulations and guidance.

 

Certification:

The attendee will receive a City & Guilds Profile of Achievement Award & National Training Services Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. After which a 1 day Refresher Course  is recommended.

 

Location:

Our open courses are held at our training center Unit 1, Adams House, Northampton Science Park, Kings Park Road, Moulton Park Industrial Estate, Northampton, NN3 6LG.

We can also bring our training to you for groups of 3 or more, Nationwide. Contact us for a free of charge quotation.

 

Course materials received after attending:

You will receive everything you need to the deliver training as soon as you leave the course including the PowerPoint presentation, step by step course delivery guide, handouts, trainers manual, practical and theory assessment guidance plus free post course support from us.

 

Suitable For:

Persons with the responsibility for training operatives. There are no prerequisites to attending this course and there is no need to worry if you have not trained before. We are here to support you no matter what level you are at as this course is designed to encompass all levels of trainer. ALL delegates must attend the full 2 days of the course.

  • Safe working practices when using machines.
  • Structuring and delivering the training
  • Practical assessments, testing their trainees

Is This Course Approved By City And Guilds?  

Yes

 

Assessment Criteria:  

There is a short question paper and the trainees will be assessed throughout the course. The training involves candidate participation. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed. Any problems with the fore mentioned assessment criteria, please discuss this with us. 

 

City And Guilds Profile Of Achievement:  

The candidate will complete a pre-course questionnaire, a mid course interview and a post-course professional discussion to fulfill the requirements of the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement criteria.
