Our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course

Our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course provides the knowledge, skills and support to deliver effective abrasive wheel training across a wide variety of industry sectors.

The course is provided in accordance with The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) and HASWA 1974 to ensure fully compliant, competent and safe working practices for all.

By enrolling on our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course, instructors can find the guidance they need to train operatives using abrasive wheels at all levels. The syllabus covers all aspects of safe selection, mounting and working practices, and is delivered in accordance with the latest regulations.

Our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course explores the types of wheels; the Standard Marking System; the storage, handling and transportation of said equipment; the testing, mounting and balancing of tools; and safe working practices to help instructors gain and pass on a solid understanding of abrasive wheel usage.

Our 2 day RoSPA Assured Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course enables you to become an instructor delivering effective Abrasive Wheel Training to operatives in various industries.

There are no prerequisites to attend this training. This course is suitable for beginners, up to experienced practitioners. We incorporate all levels of experience within the training. 

This course embraces the requirements under The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) and HASWA 1974. Covering selection, mounting and the safe working practices when using abrasive wheels. The machines we discuss are the angle grinder, chop saw, petrol cutter (Stihl Saw) and bench grinders. With an industry experience of 30 plus years our training is developed to be interactive and informative.

This course is also available to book via the CITB Employers Network. Please contact your Customer Engagement Advisor from the CITB to book this course for you first. Then, please complete and return a booking form to us and confirm that your booking is going through the CITB.

You will receive everything you need to the deliver training as soon as you leave the course including the PowerPoint presentation, step by step course delivery guide, handouts, trainers manual, practical and theory assessment guidance plus free post course support from us.

Our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course is suitable for persons with the responsibility for training operatives. There are no prerequisites to attending this course and there is no need to worry if you have not trained before. We are here to support you no matter what level you are at as this course is designed to encompass all levels of trainer. ALL delegates must attend the full 2 days of the course.

As standard our Abrasive Wheel Train the Trainer course will cover Bench Grinders, Angle Grinders, Petrol Cutters (Stihl Saw), Clipper Saw & Chop Saws.
