Schedule of Training

Course Aim:

As a result of the course the trainee will achieve an overall understanding of safe workshop management and be able to apply it in their own working environment.

Suitable for:

Any persons who manage or supervise work in a workshop environment

Course Duration: Two Days

Learning outcomes:

By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of:

• Workshop Hazards including:
  • Electrical Safety.
  • Tool and Equipment Safety.
  • Safety with COSHH.
  • Slips, Trips and Falls.
  • Fire Safety.
• Safe Systems of Work.
• Accident Causation and Prevention.
• Selection, Inspection and Use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Communicating the safety message
• Basic risk management principles

Assessment Criteria:

There is a written test. Trainees who prefer can be tested verbally.
The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training.

The training has both theory and practical elements with trainees involved in problem solving tasks in an actual workshop environment at our training premises.

To gain the certificate the trainees will carry out an exercise post course in their own workshop environment to be sent to us for evaluation.

Successful candidates receive an NTS Certificate and registration on our database.

Candidates will receive a workbook covering all the underpinning knowledge from the course.

Cost £495 + VAT per person
