Health and Safety for Safety Representatives
Course (1 day course)
Course Aim:
To enable the candidate to achieve an understanding of the basic requirements
of health and safety relating to their duties.
Learning Outcomes.
By the end of the
training the trainee will be able to:
- State the legal
responsibilities of both the company and themselves
- Outline the procedure
for risk assessment
- Specify the relevant
regulations affecting their woek
- List the reporting
procedures for health and safety problems in the workplace
- Demonstrate a model
of communication for resolving health and safety issues

The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on participation
The trainees will
conduct a simulated health and safety meeting during the training with
the purpose of resolving set issues.
There will be a written assessment
