National
Eye Week |
| |
Last week was National Eye Week and
according to the latest research, we spend 128,780 hours
in a working lifetime in front of TV or computer
screens. Iain Anderson, Chairman of the Eyecare Trust,
said that screen fatigue, ie sore, itchy, irritated eyes
or temporary blurring of vision, affects up to 90% of
users. |

RSI
figures show apparent sharp
rise |
|
The Chartered
Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) have expressed
concerns about the apparent rapid increase in the
reports of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) cases . The
statistics, compiled for 2003/04 by the CSP and the
Labour Research Department, reveal that nearly
450,000 British workers suffered from RSI, a rise of
52,000 on the 2001/02 figure, totalling over 8 million
days of absenteeism.
