Course Aim: To enable candidates to carry out effective investigations after an accident or incident in the work place.

Learning outcomes: By the end of the course the candidate will be able to:

2. State the legal requirements
3. List the necessary information required in an investigation.
4. Carry out an accident/incident investigation

2. The Law - HASWA - Relevant Legislation - RIDDOR
3. Accident Types
4. Investigation Techniques
5. Witnesses
5. Analysing Causes - Human error - Plant/Equipment - Materials/Substances - History
6. Witnesses
7. Reports
8. Practical group investigation exercises

The training is interactive with problem solving exercises and testing questions.
Case studies and candidate experience is used throughout the training.
All candidates are certificated at the end of the training.
There is a brief written test, however, this is not a pass or fail course.
