Construction Inspectors Target Building Sites

  

The health and safety executive have  begun a nationwide inspection programme targeting building sites with poor housekeeping. The message from Stephen Williams their Chief Inspector is "if you see it - sort it".

Falls from Height

  

The HSE have published a toolbox talk on leaning ladder and stepladder safety. This is part of an ongoing campaign to reduce falls from height - 2004/5 saw 53 fatalities and 3800 injuries.

Sickness costs uk economy £12bn

  
Lord Hunt recently underlined the cost of sickness absence to the British economy. The latest estimate puts the cost to the economy at around £12 billion per year.
