In June 2000 the HSE launched a 10 year programme "revitalising health and safety initiative". Now half way through they have published case studies and a report on progress.

The Last month saw the launch of the centre for workplace health. The aim of the centre is to provide occupational health services that deliver measureable health improvements in workplaces. Their occupational health professionals use their expertise to advise both employers and employees of risks to health and how best to avoid them.

Business link Performance indicator |

Business link have a tool to enable you to see how well you are handling health and safety in your business. It is a self assessment tool designed to give businesses a measure of how well they are handling health and safety issues. It works by asking a series of questions on key hazards that most small to medium-sized businesses encounter and the frequency of incidents relating to these hazards. It takes about 15 minutes to complete. Click here to take the test. |

| New Course and extra dates added |

Our CIEH Professional trainers course Scheduled for January has sold out. We have now added a new date for this course on 14th 15th and 16th February, please call if you would like to book a place.
We have also added a new course aimed at companies who have staff who use portable power tools. This two day instructor course will enable the candidate to train operatives in the correct and safe use of portable power tools in compliance with the relevant regulations.
