Course Aim: To enable candidates to carry out their own
courses training operatives in the use, safe
selection and mounting of abrasive wheels
in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Duration: Two days or can be adapted according to company
needs
Suitable for: People with responsibility for managing workshop
operatives
Learning outcomes: By the end of the course, the participant
will be able to display an understanding of:

Safe Systems of Work.
- Accident Causation and Prevention.
- Selection, Inspection and Use of Personal
Protective Equipment.
- Communicating the safety message.
- Basic risk management principles.
- Environmental considerations.
Assessment: The training involves candidate participation
with the emphasis on the practical. There
is a brief written test. Trainees who prefer
can be test verbally.
The training has both theory and practical
elements with trainees involved in problem
solving tasks in an actual workshop environment.
NTS certificates are issued to all attendees along
with registration on our database.
Trainee’s Pack: Candidates will receive a workbook covering
all the underpinning knowledge from the course.
