Power Tool Safety Train the Trainer

Course Aim: To enable the candidate to carry out their
own courses to train operatives in the safe
use of portable power tools.
Duration: Two days
Suitable for: Trainers or individuals who have the responsibility
for delivering safety training. Candidates
should have experience with the use of power
tools.
Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course, the participant
will be able to display an understanding
of:
- Regulations: What is required
- Use of the equipment including: Hazards arising
from use and precautions to be observed
- Structuring and delivering the training
- Sourcing information to create training on
particular tools
- Assessing your trainees - practice and knowledge
Assessment Criteria: There is no written test but on day two the candidate will carry out
a practical training session on which they
will be assessed. The training involves participation with
the emphasis on the practical.
