Fire Marshall Train the Trainer Course
City and Guilds Profile of Achievement Award
Course Aim: To enable the participants to carry out their
own training for Fire Marshal duties effectively
in accordance with the relevant regulations
and organisational procedures.
Duration: Two days
Suitable for: Health and safety advisors, managers and
officers, trainers, responsible individuals.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course the participant
will be able to display an understanding
of:
- The Fire Regulations
- Thorough awareness of organisational fire
procedures
- Pre-evacuation awareness
- Duties of a Fire Marshall including:
- Fire alarms
- Evacuation procedures
- Accounting for personnel
- Liason with fire brigade
- Fire drills
- Re-entry to building
- Special Duties – disabled, visitors,
contractors
- Knowledge and use of relevant fire fighting
equipment
- The delivery of the lesson plan.
Assessment Criteria:
There is a written question paper and the
trainees will be assessed on
the practical element. The training involves
candidate participation with the emphasis
on the practical. There is practical use
of fire fighting equipment at a basic level.
The participants will apply the training
during the course. All candidates are certificated
through National Training Services.
